Live Correspondent: University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC) today handed over 10 MBBS certificates to the Srilankan students who have completed their MBBS course from the university.
Mr. Sameera Dayasekara, Deputy Head of Mission, Sri Lankan High Commission in Bangladesh, received the certificates from the UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan.
Professor Mannan said USTC will provide rest of the original certificates after the submission of provisional certificates obtained by the graduates. For this, the students do not have to pay any additional fees, he said.
Earlier, Crisanthe De Silva, High Commissioner of Sri Lankan in Dhaka, called on UGC Chairman and sought cooperation of resolving the certificate problems immediately.
UGC suggested the USTC authority to provide the original certificates to the Sri Lankan students by 20 September, this year.
UGC Secretary Dr. Mohammad Khaled and its Deputy Secretary Md. Shahin Siraj were present in the certificate handover ceremony.
